Welcome to Vivien Kershaw's Online Gallery

Vivien Kershaw (1920 - 2007), Historic Canadian Artist, served in the British Army and the Canadian Air Forces during WW2 and studied under such masters as Arthur Lismer, who compared her work to the late Emily Carr's. Vivien had a voracious love of animals and nature and her wonderful sense of humor is captured in many of her paintings.

Painting for over 80 years, Vivien Kershaw captured the soul of many 'themes of our times', in a way that only she could do.

August 1 - September 1:

Lives Lived - The Art of Vivien Kershaw (1920-2007)

A select group of Vivien’s landscape oil paintings of the Southampton, Lake Huron area (where Vivien spent most of her summers in the latter part of her life), will be featured in the upper gallery of the Southampton Art Gallery. Opening at the Gallery on August 1, 5 - 8pm.

"Vivien was modest about her work. She painted purely for the love of creating Art. Viv lived her life authentically... doing what she loved to do most... for no other reason than it made her happy. Because of this, she is a constant inspiration." ~ Stevie Vallance
